RE: spam and debian-curiosa [ot]

Dave,

I use it because I prefer it over the alternatives. I didn't know it was
forbidden to send mail to the list with Outlook. Is it really that big
of a stretch to compare my use of a non linux mailer to your use of a
non-Debian distribution to write to this list? For what it's worth, my
copy of Outlook is running in a VM on Debian, as if it matters. Undoable
disks, too -- what a concept! I wish the real Windows had that. I recall
Daniel Stone announcing his adoption of the Debian kde packages (no
small task!) from Outlook Express. I don't seem to recall anyone
slamming on him for it.

I do find it odd how Sylpheed highlights the X-Mailer header in
messages, though ... puts it right up there with the subject and date. I
guess it's so people can easily complain about other peoples personal
choices. And to think I was going to congratulate you for being so
observant! Anyway that's my bit of ontopic curiosa for this message:

The mystery of why Sylpheed prominently displays the X-Mailer header!

Curioser and curioser.....

John

John,
Couldn't help noticing you are using outlook to mail. Just wondered why?

Dave
