I would like an easier protocol to be supported by upstream too.
Perhaps that wasn't clear from my message. I would certainly prefer
to avoid some Debian-specific protocol.

Nevertheless, even if SCM_CREDENTIALS is not required by systemd, my
proposed protocol is still simpler than the systemd one.
Lennart doesn't seem to have addressed this point.
