That doesn’t seem very likely to me. In terms of library API, kdbus
doesn’t change anything, so there is no need for applications to depend
on it.

There could be indirect problems, though.
      * The session bus daemon will probably be started by systemd
        (using kdbus) when GNOME migrate to systemd user sessions. The
        old code should still work for some time, but we might have to
        hold back some packages, and lose some benefits.
      * Since kdbus is much faster, applications might start to rely on
        that and lose performance on systems without kdbus.
