Huh, are you really serious to hack packages in that way ?

I've already a lot of problems with upstream when I forward my bug
reports. The main reply is "Another Debian feature ?". With your hack
I've no change to see by bug accepted by upstream.

The main problem to put G1 and G2 together in Debian is bugs. Actually
250 Debian bugs are opened against the core G1 packages and those bugs will
never fixed by upstream. Of course this number grow every day. Then this
become more and more unmanageable, and for that reason I've stopped
since 3 months to forward upstream all the G1 bugs I got.

Putting G2 in unstable as suggested by Raphael is really a good
solution. This will close a lot of G1 bugs.

Christian
