Lots of nastiness: users might currently be logged in and suddenly
have files changing underneath them. NFS /home will also break things.
We had the same problem with fvwm/fvwm2 a couple of years ago and
ended up with the postinst offering to try and convert the config
for all users but also offering a commandline tool users could use
to update their config.
