so what? the bug is fixed and closed, gcc-5 built. I'll probably better need 4.8 and 4.9 updates as well update to the committed isl-0.15 backport.

You are right here in that rebootstrap bugs are not automatically RC
bugs. You also notice that very few of the bugs I file are RC bugs as
you received quite a few of them.  So when a package (e.g. gcc-5) FTFBS
(without involving cross toolchains at all) on a release architecture
(e.g. s390x) and built earlier, then that's an RC bug, no?

right, but then again, why mentioning the rebootstrap at all?

you could even use a cross toolchain provided in the archive, to get untangled by issues like these.
