cloud image creation process

First, thank you for the amazing work you do! Second, apologies if there is a documentation page that answers my question already; if it does exist, I've failed to uncover it.

Is there documentation which instructs or demonstrates how the debian-cloud team builds the daily cloud images?  I would like to study, replicate, and possibly adapt this process.  Thank you for any information!
