I was just thinking the same actually. I did a bit of surface-level debugging, and I tried seeing if the master version of vagrant-lxc fixed things, but it doesn't. My debugging time is mainly limited to the weekends so I don't think I'd be able to get to the bottom of this in a timely manner.
