I wasn’t able to get this to work. I usually launch instances via the API, but the API returns zero AMIs for the account (379101102735) in the ap-east-1 region. I tried via the web console too, that errors with "AWS Marketplace was unable to proceed with the product you selected. Please try selecting this product later."

Great, thanks! If you have web access it’s quite easy to activate, just click “My Account”, scroll down to “AWS Regions” and click the buttons.
Have a splendid day!
