I will ask #debian-qa to be sure. I think the Profitbricks Jenkins slaves are KVM guest VMs. Some of the existing installer tests (g-i) had stability issues with nested KVM, which is how it boots some CD images to test them. So for both of these use- cases it actually seems better to have a Jenkins slave on bare metal. > Any other sponsors around ? ;) Only need around EUR 35/mo. for quad core, 32GiB RAM and 2x 3TiB disks. There is someone I could ask, but would likely only sponsor it short- term and may cancel at short notice. > My plan has always beem to move the creation of the vagrant base boxes > to debian-cd controlled servers at some point, instead of building > locally and uploading to vagrant-cloud via an awfully assymetric DSL > connection.
