We will endeavour to always have the current point release AMI available in this account, without requiring you to use Marketplace. However, Marketplace is available as a way of users to also find images. The AMI images in Marketplace are identical to the ones in this account (it is the AMIs in this account in US East 1 that are submitted to Marketplace for them to clone and distribute globally).
