Backport of cloud-init.
Hi all,
I have investigated the possibility of running Squeeze instances with
cloud-init on the Amazon cloud.
There is already a backport for python-boto, so only a backport of
python-mocker would be needed. For cloud-init, it would be a "sloppy"
backport. Both would be trivial to make.
Backported cloud-init installs fine on the Squeeze instances that we produced.
While I can see activity of cloud-init in the logs, I am not sure that it
functions correctly, as when I tried to pass the "cloud-config-final-message"
script as instance data, I could not find the "final message" in the logs.

The reason I report these inconclusive results is that I am done for today. If
you are interested, I can upload later an official backport of python-mocker,
and share a transient backport of cloud-init somewhere (but do not wait for
them, they are trivial to make yourself).
Thanks to James and Amazon for the access to the sponsored account from
which I did some of my tests (https://lists.debian.org/debian-cloud/2012/11/msg00001.html)
Cheers,
