Sorry Stefano, this does not match my vision of software Freedom.  For me it is
about having the capacity to exchange and modify the software that we use, not
about the control we have over the hardware or the people.  I think that Debian
should not make recommendations on how people should (dis)trust each other, and
for that reason, I am not willing to propose a wording that goes half way
between our two opinions. 

And the reason why wrote a rather argumentative and unfriendly email is that I
am unhappy to see this recommendation coming again in a press release while I
already have expressed my disagreement.  Why are you pushing it ?  I think that
it is important that recommendations in Debian's name are clearly justified,
and I have explained in my email why I think that this recommendation is
divisive instead of uniting us on our common goals.

This said, if you are confident that the press release reflects our project's
vision, go ahead.  But personnaly, it makes me uncomfortable and I think that
it will reflect badly on Debian.
