Bug#998410: cinnamon-screensaver: Media player controls and artwork missing from screensaver

Dear Maintainer,
The current version of cinnamon-screensaver only displays time and the custom message, if set. It however does not display media player controls or media artwork.
It appears that the issue might come from this bug, resolved upstream:
