Inconsistent filesystem EA on the various runners

Hi all,

I am running autopkg tests for an application that uses filesystem extended attributes heavily.
However I have found that only a handful of the runners are capable of EA.
This is surprising to me since EA is a built-in feature of ext4.

Specifically, the following runners *can* do EA:

arm64, riscv64, and s390x

However, on these ones I were in my testing unable to set EA on files:

amd64, armel, armhf, i386 and ppc64

Are the latter using a different filesystem by any chance?
It would be great to get to the bottom of this so that I can get more consistent test results!

This is the package in question: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/netatalk

Sincerely,
Daniel Markstedt
