In case you have doubts about them, feel free to ask on the debian-boot mailing list. Those people who worked on partman-zfs and partman-nbd are subscribed to the list (mostly Robert Millan and Wouter Verhelst, respectively). The ZFS strings are very similar to the LVM strings. Indeed, from my understanding concepts in ZFS are similar to those in LVM (physical volumes, logical volumes, etc.). And 謝謝 , YunQiang Su, for the update to sublevel 2, of course!
