Re: Unicode id3 tag problem.

Thanks, sounds like a solution, but I have a huge collection of mp3 (> 50G). Is there really no way to make it work without converting? Thanks a lot.

Hi all, I am running beep-media-player and it does not seem to be able to
handle id3 tags in unicode very well.

The mp3 files were managed by iTunes on a Mac, the ID3 tags contains
Chinese characters and I suppose they are in UNICODE, ID3 tags v2.4. In beep-media-player, they are all displayed as some gibberish ending with "(Invalid UTF-8)". I am not sure if I am missing something. Anyone have
clues? Thanks a lot in advance.
