【Debian Woody 的 GNOME 2.2 套件】 Jamie Strandboge 在 DesktopLinux.com
上[3]发表他将 Debian unstable 中的 GNOME 套件重新编译，制作成供 Debian
stable 使用的套件。他制作的套件同时也包含了 Gnucash、Mozilla、Galeon 和

[4]宣布管理者开设了数个新的通信论坛供非英语系国家的朋友使用。此外，除了

【Debian 对 RISC 平台的支援】 Andrew Buckeridge [8]指出 HP、SGI、Sun 和
IBM 都以自行研发的作业系统搭配他们自己的平台。不过，这四家厂商都不约而同地推销
搭配 GNU/Linux 的 x86 系统。既然这些平台 Debian 全都[9]支援，他希望对在这些平
台上使用 GNU/Linux 有兴趣的朋友向这些厂商询问，要求他们能在这些平台上支援

【不再要求 Testing 中的套件要能在各平台上使用？】 J廨□e Marant
[14]提议只要一个套件能在部份的平台上完成编译，就让它进入
testing，不需像以前要求要在所有的平台上成功地编译。他认为要让套件尽早进入
testing，让对它有兴趣的人可以进行测试。Anthony Towns
[15]说因为每一套发行系统对每个套件只有一个相对的原始码套件供各平台共用，这
种作法可能会造成一些问题。最后，Colin Watson
出来[16]质疑为什么那么多人要把精神花在这些细节上而不拿来修正 bug。

【一些关于发行的提议】 Jaldhar Vyas 作了下列[17]建议：发行一个包含数个
unstable/testing 中移植过来（backport）的套件的 woody
更新版；建立官方原始码存放中心，并给予所有维护者修正 bug
的权限；还有完全停止发行任何版本，因为这可以由协力厂商完成。Jesus Climent
[18]补充说HispaLinux
已经开始在为特定团体（如大学、教育机构、政府机关等）制作客制化的 Debian
发行（personalised Debian releases）。

【移除已经无人维护的文件】 Adam DiCarlo
[19]提议移除一些已过时或已无人维护□手册。他希望籍此能将大家的力量集中在同
一个地方。他打算将教学手册、使用者手册、Debian
指南、系统管理者手册及网路管理者手册合并到维护得相当不错的 Debian
[20]参考手册之中，希望大家能把自己的意见告诉他。

【Debian 用于网路安全装置】 LinuxDevices
的一篇[21]报导指出，[22]Innominate Security Technologies 将在 Intel
Developer Forum
中发表它们宣称是『全世界最小的网路安全装置』的一项产品。数年来，Innominate
在开发标准及特殊订做的网路安全产品时，Debian GNU/Linux
一直是他们基础作业系统的第一选择。他们现在的产品都是以 2.2 及 3.0
版为基础开发的。既然是将开放原始码用于产品开发，Innominate
当然也很热心地将他们的程式码[23]贡献给大众罗！
