I followed what you said, but still got the same problem. Maybe I didn't
do it correctly.

I cat it and no complains about font.

I have reinstalled.

I got a pop-up window by "xfontsel -fn big5", though there is a Warning:
"Cannot convert string "big5" to type FontStruct"
