It is probably not your /etc/X11/xfs/config. How do you start X? Do you
use xdm/gdm/wdm or startx? Either way, make sure you have set
"deferglyphs = 16" or the command line option -deferglyphs 16, e.g.

	startx -- -deferglyphs 16

or check your /etc/X11/xfs/config and /etc/X11/xdm/Xserver files to make
sure deferglyphs is there. The crash is caused by either xfs-xtt or the
Xserver itself trying to load and render all 14,000 Chinese
character/glyphs from the font file, causing a crash.

iso-8859-1: 256 glyphs maximum.
  big5: about 14,000 glyphs.
gb2312: About 7,000 glyphs.

Out of memory, or perhaps a bug with either xfs-xtt or the xserver? I
don't know. :-)

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Anthony
