  * Included patch by Florian Zumbiehl <florz@gmx.de> adding some

    with /dev/pts (Bug #61408).
  * postinst removes base.conffiles as well (otherwise, some files

debconf-doc 0.3.10 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf 0.3.01 -> 0.3.10 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.10) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added dpkg-loadtemplate, a simple program that loads templates into the
    debconf database. This is *not* intended to be used by debian packages,
    but can be useful for debugging purposes and for pre-seeding the
    database before installing a package.
  * Moved all external manpages for perl programs into POD format.
  * Updated all pod docs to fix formatting problems.
  * debconf-tiny is no more. Instead, we now have debconf and debconf-doc.
    This makes debconf proper be nearly as small as debconf-tiny used to be
    and gets rid of the set of problems associated with debconf-tiny.
  * This huge and unmanageable changelog is 20k compressed. To make debconf
    a reasonable size, I am only including the last 5 changelog entries in
    debconf; the rest go in -doc.
  * Several modules are now Exporters, and I use that where possible to
    reduce code size.
  * Strip all pod docs out of modules in binary package. Ugly, but saves a
    great deal of space.
  * Killed off the gtk frontend. The code has been rotting, and it just
    needs to be rewritten.
  * Changed the AutoSelect fallbacks around, most frontends now fall back
    to Slang.
  * Text frontend no longer always prompts for a Enter press at the end of
    a run.
  * Moved some doc files into doc/ in the source package.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf-doc - Debian configuration management system documentation

debconf 0.3.10 -> 0.3.11 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.11) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added dpkg-debconf. This is a program that lets you send commands to
    debconf directly from the command line. Will probably be quite useful
    for debugging purposes. (We used to have something like this a long,
    long time ago, but I like this new design better.)

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf-doc - Debian configuration management system documentation
debconf-doc 0.3.11 -> 0.3.12 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf 0.3.11 -> 0.3.12 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.12) unstable; urgency=low
  * Used exported sub names in a few places I missed before.
  * Renamed AutoSelect::frontend and AutoSelect::confmodule to
    make_frontend and make_confmodule, and allow them to be exported
    too.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf-doc - Debian configuration management system documentation
debconf-doc 0.3.12 -> 0.3.14 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf 0.3.12 -> 0.3.14 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.14) unstable; urgency=low
  * Tightended up regexp that pareses Template: lines, so spaces are not
    allowed in the name of a template. As a side effect, this just ignores
    trailing space on all fields in a templates file. I hope this has no
    bad side effects..

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf-doc - Debian configuration management system documentation
debconf-doc 0.3.14 -> 0.3.15 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf 0.3.14 -> 0.3.15 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.15) unstable; urgency=low
  * Don't crash if a question has no associated template. That should never
    happen, but I have one report of it happening. I suspect that some
    rather old version of debconf caused the problem. It's also possible
    that deleting the templates.db file might cause similar problems. I've
    made debconf ask for bug reports in this case, so I can gather more
    data.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.3.15 -> 0.3.16 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.16) unstable; urgency=low

debconf 0.3.17 -> 0.3.18 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.18) unstable; urgency=low
  * dpkg-reconfigure detects if your default frontend is Noninteractive,

    Closes: #57614

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf-doc - Debian configuration management system documentation

debconf 0.3.18 -> 0.3.19 into dists/woody/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.3.19) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added crazy new frontend: it just makes a pseudo-config file, and
    pops up your favorite editor on it.
  * Killed question w/o template debug code, I'm reasonably sure the problem
    is just happenning to people who had a very old version of debconf, and
    that the problem is being corrected properly.
    Closes: #62004, #61970, #61947
  * Added debug code to try to track down the uninitialized value in
    confmodule startup/open2 bug.
  * Fixed a bug in the 'use base' expander that was causing multiple

  * moved DEBUG/copyright files to /usr/share/doc.
    Fixes: #50267, #50174.
  * get_ipc_key() now saves the ipc_key in a static variable. This
    speeds things up in general, and apparently in some cases it also
    appears to be needed. (Idea from Yann DIRSON).
  * shlibs file now doesn't have second field. (Idea from illegal NMU)
  * tar now uses open(file, flags, mode) to set the permissions of a file
    directly (without using chmod). As open() isn't wrapped, this caused
    one of the test in the build process to fail. Choose not to wrap open,
    but to remove the test, as it will rarely cause problems in real
    setups, and wrapping open() does cause problems (either now, or in
    future versions of libc when some function suddenly starts to use
    open()).

  * Added NAME sections to manual pages catalogs.3 and libpq.3.
    Closes: 60476 60479
  * Ensured that postmaster is saved for use by postgresql-dump, by
    linking postgres to it in debian/get_old_bins.inc
  * New scheme for easing future upgrades: prerm will save the database
    structure into the pg_dumpall directory. This will ensure that the
    dump is already done for the new version; it is done provided that
    $1 of the prerm command is not `failed-upgrade'. If this dump is found,
    the postinst of the new package (version 7.0 onwards) can do a pg_upgrade
    (provided that the versions are sufficiently compatible).
    Closes: bug#61645
  * For those occasions when an upgrade is not possible, the prerm will now
    save the necessary binaries ready for the next release to do a dump
    and reload. This and the above change should greatly improve the
	 upgrade path to release 7.
  * Fixed bug in pg_wrapper (linked to psql) so that command line options
    such as `-F:' no longer get passed through as `-F -F:'. Closes: bug#61216
  * Modified postgresql-startup which incorrectly associated the port to
    listen on with whether TCP/IP connections were enabled. The two
	 should be, and now are, independent.
  * postgresql-dump now correctly sets and exports PGDATESTYLE before
    starting the postmaster.

    definitely broken).
