blt8.0 2.4l-2 into dists/potato/main/binary-i386/libs
blt 2.4l-1 -> 2.4l-2 into dists/potato/main/binary-i386/libs
blt (2.4l-2) unstable; urgency=low
  * blt-dev is still dependent on tk8.0-dev and tcl8.0-dev. This should have
    been tk8.2-dev and tcl8.2-dev. This version now uses package names
    blt8.0 and blt8.0-dev, so these packages no longer are replaced by
    blt and blt-dev.
  * Changed to debhelper from debstd (the rules file was just getting too
    complicated to understand).
  * added three new packages, blt-common, blt8.0 and blt8.0-dev.
    This was necessary as I have two conflicting requirements from
    package users
      - Link to the latest tk/tcl libraries (eg 8.2)
      - have a stable version of the blt library (eg link to tk/tcl 8.0)
    Linking to 8.2 has resulted in a much poorer blt environment filled
    with unexplained runtime bugs. Thus, blt8.0 and blt8.0-dev are
    identical to blt and blt-dev, but are linked to tk/tcl 8.0. The new
    packages are linked to the latest tk/tcl versions.
    blt8.0-dev conflicts with blt-dev. The common parts of packages
    blt8.0 and blt have been split out into blt-common. This makes for quite
    a lot of packages for blt... Sorry about that.
    If reliability is your keyword, change alternatives so that you always
    use wish8.0 and tclsh8.0 by default, and make sure you have tk/tcl8.0
    runtime libraries.
    Note that for library naming restrictions, libBLT.2.4.so.8.2 is linked
    with the latest tcl/tk libraries, while libBLT.2.4.so.8.0 is always linked
    to a stable tcl/tk 8.0 where everything seems to work. For development,
    libBLT8.0.so is a link to the blt linked to tk8.0, and libBLT8.2.so for
    tk8.2.
    (closes: #46920)
  * changed pkgIndex to select dynamically either blt for tk8.2 or 8.0
    depending on which wish was in use. Thus making the new library naming
    scheme invisible for scripts.
  * this package must have tk8.0, tk8.2, tcl8.0, tcl8.2, tk8.2-dev, tcl8.2-dev
    installed to build from source. tk8.0-dev and tcl8.0-dev are not required,
    and are instead emulated internally.

cucipop (1.31-11) unstable; urgency=low
  * Debian-QA upload
  * Removed dependency on netstd (why was this needed anyway?)
    closes: #49305.
  * Removed /usr/doc/cucipop from debian/dirs.

  * Changed priority to "extra".

cxref - Generates latex and HTML documentation for C programs.
cxref-doc - Generates latex and HTML documentation for C programs.

  * Made a local copy of dh_dhelp in debian to make for portable package building
  * Added patch to parse.l tentatively suggested by upstream to enable recognition of __restrict keyword in newer gcc
  * Added --enable-us-paper to configure options
  * New upstream release

dbskkd-cdb - The fastest dictionary server for SKK
dbskkd-cdb 1.01-1 -> 1.01-2 into dists/potato/main/binary-i386/utils
dbskkd-cdb (1:1.01-2) unstable; urgency=low
  * Included makeskkcdb.sh and skktocdbm.sh into examples/.
    (Closes: Bug#42391)

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.17 -> 0.2.18 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.18) unstable; urgency=low
  * Spelling fixes, Closes: #49587
  * Documented on each man page that talks about --frontend, how the
    frontend can be permanently changed. Closes: #49537
  * Don't crash if told to remove a nonexistant question.
  * Rationalized debug and warning message printing.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.18 -> 0.2.19 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.19) unstable; urgency=low
  * People just don't seem to get it -- NEVER use dh_input in a postinst!
    Tightened up the language about that in the tutorial, and repeated my
    self in several places in the hope people will read at least one of them.
  * Eliminated use of Fcntl, one of the modules that made us depend on perl.
  * Deleted the copy of the spec that was local to this document. The
    configuration management spec is now available as an xml document, in
    Debian CVS. For convenience, debconf includes that document now.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.19 -> 0.2.20 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.20) unstable; urgency=low
  * Fixed the text frontend to not lower-case choices in a select list.
    (Closes: #49650)

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.20 -> 0.2.21 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.21) unstable; urgency=low
  * frontend now works if run from something other than dpkg. Closes: #49449
  * Created a new Tty frontend to serve as a base class for Dialog and Text.
    It detects screen resizes. Made it the parent of Dialog and Text,
    and they now also detect screen resizes. Debconf in a 30x5 xterm is
    beautiful!

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.21 -> 0.2.22 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.22) unstable; urgency=low
  * The noninteractive frontend now mails notes to root.
  * Reworked the mechanism that makes select questions always set
    their value when they are INPUT, even if they arn't really displayed,
    to be much cleaner: This is now handled by the noninteractive select
    element.
  * Reworked how Elements are created to use eval, which kills the
    duplicated makelement() code in all the FrontEnds.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.22 -> 0.2.23 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.23) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added sane defaults if stty -a fails. (Closes: a whole slew of bug
    reports people will file over the next 2 days. :-P)

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.23 -> 0.2.24 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.24) unstable; urgency=low
  * Fixed the stty error messages, and screen size detection should work
    again. For some reason I had to make stty use /dev/tty for stdin, plain
    default stdin doesn't work when dpkg-preconfig is being run by apt.
  * Change undefined values to '' when starting confmodules, Closes: #49797
  * Fixed web frontend to never display empty forms.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.24 -> 0.2.25 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.25) unstable; urgency=low
  * Removed gtk frontend from list of frontends. If you already have it
    selected, you can continue using it, but I'm sick of people filing bugs
    on it who didn't bother to read the note that said it had known problems
    and should not be used.
  * dpkg-reconfigure now doesn't do anything if it's told to reconfigure
    packages that lack a config script. This makes it not fail on packages
    that don't use debconf, though it is just a no-op with them.
    Closes: #48190

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.25 -> 0.2.26 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.26) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added multiselect data type.
  * Wrote input elements for this type for all frontends except the Gtk
    frontend. The Gtk frontend needs a bit of a redesign before it can
    handle this, I think.
  * Made dpkg-preconfig properly accept -f and --frontend, Closes: #49920

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.26 -> 0.2.27 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.27) unstable; urgency=low
  * Corrected Client::ConfModule to return the right thing when one of its
    functions is called in scalar context. It was returning the result code
    by mistake, now it returns the value, like it is documented to do.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.27 -> 0.2.28 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.28) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added a Debconf user's guide.
  * Cleaned up the doc Makefile.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.28 -> 0.2.29 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.29) unstable; urgency=low
  * dpkg-preconfig now clears it's progress meter when done, like apt
    does now.
  * Fixed a possible infinite recursion in the text frontend, if you
    use it on an absurdly small screen. (It tried to display the title,
    had to paginate it, went to display [More], and first decided
    to display the title...)
  * With doogie's help, simplified Client/confmodule a bit.

debconf - Debian configuration management system
debconf 0.2.29 -> 0.2.30 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/admin
debconf (0.2.30) unstable; urgency=low
  * STOP cannot return a success code, since in all likelyhood, the pipe it
    would try to write it to is broken. (Closes: #49856, #49946)
  * debug messages are now prioritized, DEBCONF_DEBUG can be set to 1 to see
    some, 2 for more, etc.

debhelper - helper programs for debian/rules
debhelper 2.0.71 -> 2.0.72 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/devel
debhelper (2.0.72) unstable; urgency=low
  * Corrected slash substitution problem in dh_installwm.

devscripts 2.4.4 -> 2.4.5 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/devel
devscripts (2.4.5) unstable; urgency=low
  * Remove references to libtricks package from descriptions (close:
    #49937, even though I made the correction the day before the bug
    report arrived!)
  * Only suggest gnupg rather that recommend (closes: #49882)
  * s/sprint/sprintf/ in dscverify (closes: #49721)
  * Add --version and --help options to all programs (and this effectively
    closes: #49554)
  * Add long options to all programs except for deb(r)sign, as the options
    there match those in dpkg-buildpackage (closes: #41850)
  * No longer suggest PGP, as GNU Privacy Guard with the requisite
    extensions should be sufficient
  * Correct debdiff to take account of new format of dpkg-deb -c output
    (and why did it change?)
  * Make sure debian/rules clean really does that (error in Makefile.am)
  * Rewrite of internals of debuild in several places, especially with
    regard to -r handling. Much nicer logic now.

  * I am sorry to report that the smbwrapper package is gone for the
    moment. The reason for this is twofold: first of all, smbwrapper
    is completely broken in Samba-2.0.5a (it compiles but it doesn't
    run) and in the upcoming Samba-2.0.6 it doesn't even compile. Second,
    when I asked Andrew Tridgell (father of Samba) about the state of
    smbwrapper he told me that Ulrich Drepper (head of the glibc project)
    broke on purpose the glibc stuff in which smbwrapper is based.
    Consequently, Tridge recommended me to compile Samba without
    support for smbwrapper. When, I have no idea. Sorry folks. Here is
    the original message I received from Andrew:
    > 1) 2.0.5a's smbwrapper doesn't work under glibc2.1, and pre-2.0.6's
    > smbwrapper doesn't even compile under glibc2.1.
    yep, Ulrich deliberately broke it. It won't get fixed till glibc
    allows the sorts of games it plays to work again. I suggest you turn
    it off in your build scripts until that gets sorted out.

  * patch #026: ARM fix for XtOffset from Jim Pick; "It fixes an upstream
    bug - but I'm not sure what the best way to fix it is because I don't
    know why they're doing what they are doing in the first place. It's
    probably to compensate for some non-Linux ARM platform. But for
    Debian, the patch should be OK."
  * patch #027: kludgey fix to get /usr/share/man into the manpath in the
    rstart context file; this should really be fixed in Imake.tmpl, but
    that's a slippery slope to making the config/cf dir FHS-aware...and
    that is a project for another day (Closes: #44037)
  * debian/control:
    - rstart depends on rsh-client, not netstd (Closes: #49401)
    - rstartd depends on rsh-server, not netstd (Closes: #49388)
    - revised xext extended description
  * debian/*.template: updated copyright notice
  * debian/*/{postinst,prerm}: FHS doc dir symlink maintenance
  * debian/{create*},{*/postinst,postrm,preinst,prerm}:
    - updated copyright notice
    - /usr/doc -> /usr/share/doc
    - /usr/man -> /usr/share/man
    - /var/state -> /var/lib
  * debian/create-arch-rstartd: move binary to /usr/bin (and thus manpage
    to /usr/share/man) on advice from its manpage
  * debian/create-arch-twm: ship 3 example twmrc files that come with X
    source
  * debian/create-arch-xlib6g: xlib6g now ships three empty directories
    (/usr/X11R6/include/X11/bitmaps, /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults,
    $temp/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale) so that xlib6 won't ship broken
    symlinks (Closes: #44621)
  * debian/rules:
    - updated copyright notice
    - scrapped and rewrote the architecture-specific stuff
    - glibc 2 minor version is now detected instead of hard-coded
    - building of the libc5-compatible X library packages is determined by
      debian/scripts/vars.$(ARCH_MAP)
  * debian/setperms:
    - new maintainer scripts caused by FHS doc dir migration
  * debian/twm/postinst:
    - remove register-window-manager call
  * debian/twm/postrm: remove register-window-manager call
  * debian/twm/prerm: deregisters x-window-manager alternative on remove,
    failed-upgrade, or deconfigure (Closes: #48493)
  * debian/twm/system.twmrc-menu: rewritten, and with Debian menu support
    (Closes: #14692,#20872,#39782)
  * debian/xbase-clients/update-fonts-{alias,scale}.8: minor revisions
  * debian/xdm/init: fix typo in echo (Closes: #47385)
  * debian/xdm/postinst: remove obsolete /var/state/xdm dir if xdm isn't
    running
  * debian/xfree86-common/FAQ: ship this gzipped
  * debian/xfree86-common/register-window-manager{,.8}: warn of impending
    obsolesence in favor of alternatives mechanism
  * debian/xlib6g/preinst: remove obsolete /var/state/xkb directory
  * debian/xserver-common/parse-xf86config.8: minor revisions
  * debian/xserver-commom/xserver-configure:
    - PowerPC support (thanks, Hartmut Koptein)
    - /usr/doc -> /usr/share/doc
  * debian/xserver-commom/xserver-configure.8:
    - document PowerPC support
    - minor revisions

xinetd - replacement for inetd with many enhancements
xinetd 2.2.1-8.SD1.2 -> 2.1.8.7-1 into dists/potato/main/binary-i386/net
xinetd (1:2.1.8.7-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * Admitting the sad truth, i.e. marking the package as orphaned. Norbert
    hasn't done an upload in some eleven months, and hasn't responded?to
    our NMUs and several e-mails in more than two months. :(
  * New upstream version. It's from a completely different development
    branch, versioned differently, so I had to introduce an epoch. :|
    Note that we *have to* use this version because the previous one breaks
    its own original license! Closes: #38361 #41386 #41568.
  * Updated packaging files for the new autoconf stuff, patched configure.in
    and Makefile.in to support install in custom non-existant directories,
    included example xinetd.conf file in examples directory.
  * Updated docs regarding the new xconv.pl script. Not using it in
    postinst, at least not yet.
  * Skipped all old patches, except the one for src/itox.c, which is now
    forwarded/included in upstream package, with some others.
  * Added --with-libwrap to configure flags, to link with libwrap0, as
    suggested by the upstream author. From the README file:
       When xinetd does access checking, it will first ask libwrap to check
       /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny, then if libwrap accepts the
       connection, xinetd will consult its own access control mechanism.
  * Fixed postrm script to work on purge, and to remove /etc/init.d/inetd
    (created in postinst) prior to un-diverting it (otherwise dpkg-divert
    would bomb out, overwriting not allowed).
  * Moved making the dummy /etc/init.d/inetd script to postinst, to
    avoid the lintian error.
  * Fixed s/daemon-dir/daemon_dir/ in README.update-inetd file.
  * Updated itox.1 manual page, moved it to section 8 and to xinetd/
    directory, and integrated it (and itox) in the Makefile install: rule.
  * Updated the init script, made checkportmap() check in /etc/xinetd.conf
    file (don't know whether the check is ultimately correct, though).
  * Upgraded netbase dependency to 3.16-4, because the fixed update-inetd
    script is included since that version.
  * Doesn't recommend netstd anymore, apparently it no longer exists,
    that closes: #49398 #49438.

  * No longer depends on netstd, which disappeared. Closes: #49334
  * Locales and man page now properly installed.
