glibc (2.0.7u-5.1) frozen unstable; urgency=high
  * Non-maintainer release (recompile needed only for m68k).
  * Handle the m68k lchown() situation: now glibc's lchown() calls chown()
    under 2.0 kernels and lchown() under 2.1 kernels. chown() always
    calls the running kernel's chown(). Editorial comment: consistent
    lchown/chown behavior across platforms is needed.

sendmail (8.9.1-15) frozen unstable; urgency=high, closes=28410
  * The change to libdb2 requires that *all* sendmail databases be
    rebuilt before sendmail restarts. A warning is now issued to
    inform the user of this change. (#28410)

tetex-dev - kpathsea.a and include files for teTeX

    depend on ncurses-term anymore

sirc 2.211-2 -> 2.211-3 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/net
sirc 2.211-2 -> 2.211-3 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/net
sirc (2.211-3) frozen unstable; urgency=medium
  * Argh! I accidentally left in a patch I was testing for color support
    in the 2.211-2 release; it should **NOT** have been in there, as it
    added features that I did not mean to add to a frozen distribution.
    This should go into slink, as all it does is reverse the color patch I
    accidentally left in 2.211-2. Thanks to Roderick Schertler.
    Fixes #29290.

aalib (1.2-7) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * Reupload to frozen. We need this so that other programs linked with
    aalib can be recompiled for ncurses 4. It was waiting in queue for slink
    when slink froze, and got installed into potato instead. :-(

debhelper (1.2.11) unstable; urgency=low
  * dh_movefiles: if given absolute filenames to move (note that that is
    *wrong*), it will move relative files anyway. Related to bug #29761.
  * dh_link: made relative links work right. (I hope!)

debhelper - helper programs for debian/rules
debhelper 1.2.11 -> 1.2.12 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/devel
debhelper (1.2.12) unstable; urgency=low
  * examples/*: moved dh_makeshlibs call to before dh_installdeb call.
    (#29762). This is just so if you replace dh_makeshlibs with something
    that generates debian/shlibs, it still gets installed properly.
  * dh_suidregister: use names instead of uid's and gid's, at request of
    suidregister maintainer (#29802).

debhelper - helper programs for debian/rules
debhelper 1.2.5 -> 1.2.6 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/devel
debhelper (1.2.6) unstable; urgency=low

developers-reference - Debian Developer's Reference
developers-reference 2.4.1.5 -> 2.5.0 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/doc
developers-reference 2.4.1.5 -> 2.5.0 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/doc
developers-reference (2.5.0) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * move to 3-level version number:
    top-level version number probably won't change for a whil, it is the
    "major", the second-level number means significant content changes,
    and the third-level change means corrections and minor improvements.
    Since this version has significant content changes, we are now 2.5.0.
    Since I'm going to put porter instructions in the next major rev, that
    will be 2.6.0...
  * use new <package> tag where appropriate (Ardo, you rock)
  * replace 'm86k' with 'm68k'
  * rename 'Whirlwind Tour of ...' section to 'Overview of ...' (suggested
    by James Troup)
  * typos and "red-pen" corrections, fix cosmetic problems in PostScript
    version
  * remove the one case I use an URL fragment identifier, since
    debiandoc-sgml doesn't like it (bug filed against debiandoc-sgml)
  * debian/rules: cosmetic cleanups, loosen check for root
  * debian/rules: build PostScript version during build, since it's nice
    to have all my debiandoc2* scripts together
  * debian/control: policy compliant to 2.5.0
  * advise against uploading when a package has lintian problems of
    severity 'E'
  * "Mailing Lists and Servers":
    - "The master server": mention how master is the home of the BTS;
      mention how users need to take care with their accounts on master
    - "The WWW servers": fill in www.debian.org, first pass, and discuss
      how to put up your own web pages on va or master
    - "The CVS server": new section added
    - "Mirrors of Debian servers": new section added; point to info about
       how to mirror
  * "Applying to Become a Maintainer": do not advise resending initial
    application; instead, simply mail a followup asking new maintainers
    whether they go the initial application (closes Bug #28739); mention
    that calls usually come in the evening; mention that if you use PGP
    v5, you need to generate an RSA key (right?); clarify our intentions
    with respect to GPG.
  * "Release code names": Debian 2.2 is 'potato'
  * "Distribution directories": give concrete examples, hopefully making
    it clearer where to look in Debian archives for specific stuff;
    mention that old distributions are moved to archive servers (is there
    a canonical location?)
  * "The override file": new section, added under "Notification that a new
    package has been installed"; fill it out quite a bit
  * "Uploading to *": reiterate thrice not to upload export
    controlled-software to master, or the European queues on erlangen and
    chiark
  * "Picking a distribution": section broken out from "Generating the
    changes file"
  * "Uploading to frozen": new section, almost straight from Brian White
    (hope you don't mind!) -- isn't that topical?
  * "Interim releases": if you NMU a new upstream version (0.1), run
    'dpkg-buildpackage -sa'

djtools - Tools for HP DeskJet printer.
djtools 1.0-4 -> 1.0-5 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/text
djtools (1.0-5) unstable; urgency=low
  * Link to libstdc++2.9 (Bug #29047 )

dstool     - dynamical systems investigation
dstool 2.0-1 -> 2.0-2 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/math

  * Freshly unpacked source is missing a dir-- fixed this.

libg++2.8 - The GNU C++ extension library - old runtime version.
libstdc++2.8 - The GNU stdc++ library (old egcs version)

libstdc++2.8 2.90.29-0.6 -> 2.90.29-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/base
libstdc++2.8 2.90.29-0.6 -> 2.90.29-1 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/base
egcs1.0 (1.0.3a-1) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * Restructured to produce only the libstdc++2.8 and libg++2.8 packages
    which are needed for the Debian 2.1 release as backward compatibility
    libraries. The other packages that were produced from this source are no
    longer needed, as we have egcs 1.1 versions of them now.
    Building these libraries by themselves using egcs 1.1 does not work, as
    the resulting libraries miss symbols (thanks to Daniel Jacobowitz for
    trying this approach). We thus build them as part of a full egcs 1.0
    bootstrap. Admittedly, this is a very brute force approach, but it works.
  * Chanded section, priority and description accordingly.
  * Updated maintainer info.
  * Updated Standards-Version.

eggdrop    - Advanced IRC robot
eggdrop 1.3.19-1 -> 1.3.22-1 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/net

  * Added patches from Darrin (#22930) to eggdrop.conf, which is now a

emacs20-el - GNU Emacs LISP (.el) files.
emacs20 20.3-4 -> 20.3-5 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/editors
emacs20 20.3-4 -> 20.3-5 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/editors
emacs20 (20.3-5) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * Added NetWinder patches (Closes: Bug#28277). (Thanks to David Welton)
  * Rebuilt emacs20-el so the versions coincide. In the future, people
    need to be sure to build *both* binary packages when doing a
    non-maintainer binary release. (This fix justifies inclusion into
    frozen).

exim       - Exim Mailer
eximon - X-windows monitor for the exim mail transport agent.
exim 2.04-3 -> 2.05-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/mail

  * New upstream version (mostly bugfixes)

fetchmail  - POP2/3, APOP, IMAP mail gatherer/forwarder
fetchmail 4.6.4-1 -> 4.6.6-2 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/mail
fetchmail (4.6.6-2) unstable; urgency=low
  * fixed #29455: fetchmailconf.1.gz is linked to the right place

flim - Library to provide basic features about message
flim 1.12.1-1 -> 1.12.2-1 into dists/potato/main/binary-all/mail
flim (1:1.12.2-1) unstable; urgency=low

fvwm95 2.0.43ba-5 -> 2.0.43ba-6 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/x11
fvwm95 (2.0.43ba-6) frozen; urgency=low
  * Reworked postinst to use new register-window-manager program (Closes 28928)
  * Fixed "binary" target in debian/rules so that it doesn't depend on
    fvwm95 already being installed (enables automated builds)
  * Various minor code tweaks to make gcc -Wall complain less (uninitialized
    variables, pointer is unsigned long assumptions, etc.)

fweb       - A literate-programming tool for C/C++/Fortran/Ratfor
fweb 1.62-2 -> 1.62-3 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/devel

gcal 2.40-3 -> 2.40-4 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/utils
gcal 2.40-3 -> 2.40-4 into dists/potato/main/binary-m68k/utils
gcal (2.40-4) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * debian/control (Standards-Version): updated to 2.5.0.0.
  * doc/calendar.faq: removed as it's not free. (As a result the
    upstream source is no longer pristine)
  * debian/rules (binary-arch): install doc/GREG-REFORM into
    /usr/doc/gcal/.
