pstotext (1.6-6) frozen; urgency=high (fixes broken install)
  * Fixed the preinst script so that it can actually be installed; the old

----- MEDIUM Urgency Packages -----------

dhcp-beta - DHCP server for automatic IP address assignment
dhcp-client-beta - DHCP Client
dhcp-relay-beta - DHCP Relay
dhcp-beta 2.0b1pl6-0.1 into dists/hamm/main/binary-m68k/net
dhcp-beta 2.0b1pl6-0.1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/net

dhcp-relay-beta 2.0b1pl6-0.1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/net

dhcp - DHCP automatic IP address assignment
dhcp 1.0.1-1.1 -> 1.0.2-0.1 into dists/hamm/main/binary-m68k/net
dhcp 1.0.1-1.1 -> 1.0.2-0.1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/net
dhcp (1.0.2-0.1) frozen unstable; urgency=medium
  * Non-maintainer upload that fixes "important" bug #24443 (it should also
    fix all remaining open bugs, as described below).
  * New upstream release (this new release is what solves bug #24443).
  * The new upstream release also includes the fix for bug #23087 and
    #23094, that was included in the previous NMU I did (1.0.1-1.1).
  * Removed from /etc/init.d/dhcp sourcing of /etc/init.d/functions because
    this file is obsolete and is not present in newer Debian releases
    (>= 2.0). This fixes #22983 (init script sources non-existent script).
  * Changed _PATH_DHCPD_DB in dhcpd.h to /var/dhcp/dhcpd.leases (it was
    /var/lib/dhcpd/dhcpd.leases, which we are not using anymore). So,
    now the leases database will be in /var/dhcp/dhcpd.leases. No more
    files in /var/dhcpd/ nor /var/lib/dhcpd/.
  * Changed VARDB (in the linux-2.0 section of Makefile.dist) to be
    /var/dhcp/ instead of /var/dhcpd/ (this was done to support the
    change of the leases database to /var/dhcp/). The consequence of this
    is that /var/dhcpd/ is not provided in the .deb anymore (which is
    fine because this directory is not used).
  * Defined PATH_DHCPD_DB as a constant equal to "/var/dhcp/dhcpd.leases"
    in the postinst. Used this constant in all references to the leases
    database througout the postinst.
  * s%ETCDIR%/etc/%g, s%DBDIR%/var/dhcp/%g and s%RUNDIR%/var/run/%g in
    dhcpd.8 and dhcpd.leases.5, so the man pages show the correct directory.
  * The above four changes fix bug #21961 (Invalid DBDIR and problem in
    postinst) reported by myself. Also, they should fix bug #23193 (Upgrade
    from dhcpd broken) as well.
  * Made the default _not_ to run dhcpd. This was done by setting run_dhcpd
    to 0 in the default /etc/init.d/dhcp.
  * Change comments that are printed out in the last part of the postinst
    to explain that editing of /etc/dhcpd.conf and /etc/init.d/dhcp is
    necessary in order to be able to run dhcpd.
  * Fixed a small typo in /etc/init.d/dhcp (diasble -> disable).

ipac - IP accounting configuration and statistics tool
ipac 0.96-2 -> 0.96-3 into dists/hamm/main/binary-all/net
ipac (0.96-3) frozen; urgency=medium
  * Added check in /etc/cron.d/ipac that Linux ip accounting is in
    the kernel (fixes#24688), and documentation to this effect

lsof       - List open files.
lsof 4.28-1 -> 4.28-3 into dists/hamm/main/binary-m68k/utils
lsof (4.28-3) frozen; urgency=medium
  * Switched back to non-kernel-version for hamm release

samba - A LanManager like fileserver and simple client for Unix.
smbfsx - Mount and umount commands for the smbfs and kernels > 2.1.70.
samba 1.9.18p8-1 -> 1.9.18p8-2 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/net
samba 1.9.18p8-2 into dists/stable-updates
smbfsx 1.9.18p8-1 -> 1.9.18p8-2 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/otherosfs
smbfsx 1.9.18p8-2 into dists/stable-updates
samba (1.9.18p8-2) frozen unstable; urgency=medium
  * Applied patch received from Jeremy Allison (Samba Team) that fixes
    "grave" bug #23903 (samba maps username before authenicating with
    NT password server).
  * Added a "sleep 2" between "start-stop-daemon --stop" and
    "start-stop-daemon --start" in /etc/init.d/samba so when this script
    is called with the "restart" parameter the Samba daemons are restarted
    properly. This fixes bug #24211 (init.d script doesn't restart).
  * Sent start-stop-daemon output in /etc/init.d/samba to /dev/null to
    avoid annoying warning messages.
  * Added perfomance tune parameters to sample /etc/smb.conf (SO_SNDBUF=4096
    and SO_RCVBUF=4096 to "socket options" in /etc/smb.conf). I can't
    find who sent this suggestion to me. If you are listening, drop me a
    note and I'll put your name here :-)

wu-ftpd-academ - A powerful replacement for the standard ftpd
wu-ftpd-academ 2.4.2.16-9 -> 2.4.2.16-12 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/net
wu-ftpd-academ 2.4.2.16-12 into dists/stable-updates
wu-ftpd-academ (2.4.2.16-12) frozen unstable; urgency=medium
  * Mention Scott Barker <scott@mostlylinux.ab.ca> in
    ftpd.c, he contributed the code to use FQDN for virtual
    hosts. (#24800) (This bug fix changed no code, the
    code for FQDN support has been changed long ago.)

xlib6      - shared libraries required by libc5 X clients
xlib6-altdev - include files and libraries for libc5 X client development
xslib - statically linked versions of the libraries in xlib6

egcs (1.0.3a-0.6) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * Some libg++ development files were in libstdc++2.8-dev rather than
    libg++2.8-dev. Fixed this and dealt with upgrading from the earlier
    versions (fixes #23908; this bug is not marked release-critical, but
    is annoying and can be quite confusing for users. Therefore, I think
    this fix should go in 2.0).

emacs20 - The GNU Emacs editor.
emacs20-el - GNU Emacs LISP (.el) files.
emacs20 20.2-6 -> 20.2-7 into dists/hamm/main/binary-m68k/editors

  * Fixed broken postrm (release critical) (Closes: Bug#24236)

emacsen-common (1.4.7) unstable; urgency=low
  * First implementation of dependency sorting mechanism
    Sorting mechanism is dirt slow since I have to use N "dpkg --status calls"
  * Added bsdmainutils dependency (tsort used by dependency mechanism)
  * Minor edits to debian-emacs-policy. Bigger changes brewing...

emacsen-common - Common facilities for all emacsen.

gdb 4.17-0.1.1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/devel
gdb (4.17-0.1.1) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * Binary-only non-maintainer release for m68k.
  * 4.17-0.1 couldn't be built for m68k, because the m68k patch was applied
    in a wrong directory. Fixed this by moving linux.mh, nm-linux.h,
    tm-linux.h, and xm-linux.h from config/m68k to gdb/config/m68k. Also
    needed to remove bogus ^L's in gdb/m68klinux-nat.c.

imap - remote mail folder access server for Pine and others
imap 4.1.BETA-1 -> 4.2-1 into dists/hamm/main/binary-m68k/mail
imap 4.1.BETA-1 -> 4.2-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/mail

    So Brian please let this into frozen.

    mentioning it in the changelog.

kernel-package - Debian Linux kernel package build scripts.
kernel-package 5.03 -> 5.04 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/misc
kernel-package (5.04) unstable; urgency=low
  * Backed out of System.map changes introduced in 5.02 since the patch
    provided was fauly. reimplemented the system.map installation. This
    closes: Bug#24845
  * Fixed the ifneq statement. Again, this was due to misapplied fixes for
    the alpha. closes: Bug#24780
  * Fixed typo in kernel image preinst. closes: Bug#24766

lintian    - Debian package checker
lintian 0.5.2 -> 0.6.0 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/devel
lintian (0.6.0) unstable; urgency=low
  * (checks/shared-libs)
    Corrected bug that made lintian complain about shared modules without
    version info (thus ending in ".so") with a "non-dev-pkg-with-shlib-symlink"
    warning.
  * (info/overrides)  Added overrides:
    libtricks is like fakeroot; nothing is compiled with it.
      libtricks: no-shlibs-control-file
    slrnpull has been split off from slrn, and shares some of its overrides.
      slrnpull: non-standard-dir-perm var/spool/slrnpull/ 2755
      This fixes bug#24668, reported by Joey Hess.
  * (collection/perlmods)
    Collector script that greps perl scripts for use and require directives.
  * (checks/perl, checks/perl.desc)
    New check script that checks perl "use" and "require" directives.
    New tags:
       E: script-needs-perl-version   (Experimental)
       W: script-needs-full-perl      (Experimental)
       I: cannot-parse-perl-directive
  * (frontend/lintian)
    New flag --print-version that prints the unadorned version number.
  * (reporting/config, reporting/html_reports)
    Instead of requiring $LINTIAN_VERSION in the config file, query the
    lintian frontend for the version number.

mutt 0.91.2-1 -> 0.93.2-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/mail

  * New upstream release. Incorporates the buffer overflow patch and POP
    password handling patch.
  * Updated Standards-Version.
  * Don't include manual.txt (derived file) in the diff.
  * Really enabled imap (previously it was only in the international version).
  * Source synchronisation with the international version.

ncurses3.4 1.9.9g-8.7 -> 1.9.9g-8.8 into dists/slink/main/binary-m68k/base
ncurses (1.9.9g-8.8) frozen unstable; urgency=low
  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * The debugging version in ncurses3.4-dbg was not actually compiled with -g.
    This makes it rather unuseful. It's due to an error in the configure.in,
    which refers to variables ac_cv_prog_gcc_g and ac_cv_prog_gxx_g to check
    if "-O2 -g" is supported. This should be ac_cv_prog_cc_g and
    ac_cv_prog_cxx_g instead.  Fixed.
  * debian/xterm.ti had a "blink@" entry for the xterm terminal, which
    cancels the blink capability ("mb"). Since it has no "use" line,
    the use resolver is never called for it, which leaves the "CANCEL"
    value in the compiled info for xterm.
    tgetstr() does not check for cancelled values, so it returns the
    CANCELLED_STRING value which is not a valid pointer.
    Fixed by having tgetstr() return NULL for cancelled values.
    This fixes the bug that causes screen to crash in an xterm (bug#23998).

picon-domains 1998.06.23-1 -> 1998.07.30-1 into dists/slink/contrib/binary-all/graphics

vm - A mail user agent for Emacs
vm 6.56-1 -> 6.59-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/mail
vm (6.59-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * New upstream version. Excerpted changes:
    * New variables:
      + vm-default-From_-folder-type
    * new folder type: BellFrom_.
    * vm-mime-display-internal-multipart/alternative: call
      vm-mime-should-display-internal with two arguments, as
      required, instead of one.
    * vm-munge-message-separators: if folder type arg is From_, use
      BellFrom_ as type to produce folders that are less likely to be
      misparsed by other mailers.
    * quoted vm variables in docstrings in vm-vars.el with ` and '
      for hyper-apropos. Change previous other uses of `foo' to
      ``foo''.
    * fixed typo in vm-mime-fsfemacs-encode-composition; e -> o.
    * added a defvar for timer-list in vm-folder.el.
    * added defvars for standard-display-table,
      buffer-display-table and buffer-file-type in vm-mime.el.
    * added a defvar for mail-personal-alias-file in vm-reply.el.
    * added defvars for lpr-command and lpr-switches.
    * rewrote text/html inline display functoin to not need a temp
      buffer, save-excursion, and save-restriction. Needed because
      w3-region puts markers into the buffer that can't be copied
      out.
    * don't auto-create text body attachments that contain all
      whitespace if the attachment will be at the beginning or end
      of the composition.
    * vm-imap-retrieve-to-crashbox: munge folder message separators
      so the retrieved messages will be parsed correctly in the
      target folder.
    * vm-do-reply: don't use contents of In-Reply-To in generated
      References header unless no References header is present.
    * if vm-mime-alternative-select-method is best-internal, consider
      a MIME object only if the user wants it displayed internally,
      not just if it can be displayed internally.

wmakerconf-data - Datafile for wmakerconf, a configuration tool for WindowMaker
wmakerconf-data 0.16.1-1 -> 0.17.2-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/x11
