1997-03-16 installation disks released
(Incoming seems to be full, the files are in
master:~sr1/install-disks)
Known problems:
- low-memory installation sometimes hangs even when 16 MBytes swap are
available (IMHO a kernel problem)
- low-memory installation not documented
(Short intro: boot from lmem1440.bin, and use it instead of the
rescue floppy until you are going to install the kernel. Then use the
rescue floppy.)
- modprobe/depmod dumps core
- PCMCIA support is incomplete and untested
- loading modules from floppy is a bit complicated
