The kernel parameter 'persistence-encryption' appears in the live-boot-doc for both Bullseye and Bookworm but has only worked for me with Bullseye Live. I have submitted a bug report and sent email to debian-live but I have not heard back...

Subject: persistence-encryption boot parameter
Date: Wed, 23 Jul 2025 06:54:43 GMT
On debian-live-11.11.0-amd64-lxde.iso I am able to boot using the persistence-encryption parameter as per the manual. I have tried the same parameter on debian-live-12.6.0-amd64-lxde.iso and more recent versions but I found that dm-crypt was not included so that cryptsetup was unavailable although the manual for debian live 12 states the persistence-encryption parameter remains as a boot option.
I have already submitted a bug report #1106243 for this issue.
I would appreciate your guidance for this condition that I have found.
