package: cdimage.debian.org severity: wishlist User: debian-edu@lists.debian.org Usertags: debian-edu x-debbugs-cc: debian-edu@lists.debian.org, Ronny Aasen <ronny@skolelinux.no> Hi, as discussed several times already we would like to build Debian Edu images with the same tools on the same box as the regular Debian images are build, and to make them available just like all the others. Debian Edu is currently available for i386, amd64 and powerpc, for our Lenny release we released three images: a double-layer source DVD (5.3GiB or so), a regular DVD for amd64+i386 and a combined netinst-cd type for amd+i386+powerpc. For Squeeze doing roughly the same seems sensible, though maybe an additional sid CD image would be nice. For setting it up and debugging problems, Ronny Aasen and me would like to get access to the machine to do the dirty work. Currently our build setup is managed in svn and we use a patched version of debian-cd. Obviously our goal is to get rid of the patches ;-) What VCS are you using, are you using one? ;) Do you have documentation? We have http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/HowTo/MagicCDBuild and our stuff is in svn://svn.debian.org/svn/debian-edu/trunk/src/build/CD-administrator Ronny is a long time Debian Edu contributor, developer, CD build master and ftp archive maintainer. He's sadly neither a DD nor DM (he claims it's because of this internet-meme called "RL" that he has no time for that..), his GPG key id is 0xEC91AE3A. (I would have sworn I've signed his key.) Assuming you like the idea, how to we proceed from here? cheers, HolgerAttachment: signature.asc

As far as I'm aware that's now the case for all supported releases, so I'm going to close this bug now. Regards, Adam
