Package: cdimage.debian.org Severity: grave Tags: d-i Justification: renders package unusable X-Debbugs-Cc: w@vanderworp.org Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Trying to install Debian 12 * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? net-installer refuses to give the option to offer a "use as: ..." during installation. * What was the outcome of this action? Not able to install. * What outcome did you expect instead? Assigment of mount point. Please take a look at https://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=161054 As explained, the net-installer seems to have a bug not offering an option to set a mount point. The code used in the DVD-installer works as expected. Also missing are some valuable clues about the order of things: * Configure an encrypted device * Create the device * Modify its mount point Hope all is clear, thanks and best regards, Wiebe

That's not a problem. > On the other hand, it took me much trouble to find some information on > the net, to find some logic in the order of partition steps and it is > my believe some improvement could be helpful, the Debian installation > guide is quite cheesy on the subject. Feel free to open a bug report against the installation-guide package with a proposed addition?
