Package: simple-cdd
Version: 0.5.0
Severity: normal

Hello,

I am using simple-cdd on Debian stable. I a small issue when trying to include a custom splash screen:

1. Following line was added to simple-cdd configuration file (profile.conf)

----
SPLASHPNG="$HOME/my-simple-cdd/profiles/custom_splash.png"
----

2. Generating the iso using this profile failed:

----
(...)
Adding BIOS boot code for amd64 on CD1
  gtk/vmlinuz identical to ../vmlinuz. Linking
/home/iso/my-simple-cdd/tmp//debian-cd/tools/boot/jessie/boot-x86: line 393: ppmtolss16: command not found
ppmquant: making histogram...
ppmquant: 16 colors found
ppmquant: choosing 16 colors...
ppmquant: mapping image to new colors...
      FAILED: error 127
Failed to start disc 1, error 32512
Makefile:408: recipe for target 'image-trees' failed
make: *** [image-trees] Error 127
----

3. I figured out I was missing the tool "ppmtolss16" which is part of the package "syslinux-utils"

After installing the package "syslinux-utils" everything works as expected.

For this reason, I am wondering if "syslinux-utils" should not be made a dependency.

Regards,

Alexandre Rosenberg
