Bug#775824: www.debian.org: [CD/faq] be consistent with the installation-guide
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal
Hi!
In the CD/faq page [1], the instructions for copying the image onto the USB
stick ("How do I write a CD image to a USB flash drive?") are not consistent
with the instructions in the installation guide [2]. While dd certainly does
work, it has never been the documented method to copy the image to a USB stick;
the installation guide uses cp.
Just recommending `cp <file> <device>` and ditching the bs=4M bullet point
offers a simpler and less error prone command.
cheers
Stuart
