Bug#741984: cdrom: System Hangs Install V7 from CD
Package: cdrom
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
Replace old 1TB drive with one recently manufactured. Came with a MSDOS5
partition.
No Install worked even if using previously set up drive. With new BIOS
cannot do a low level format of the hard drive. Any system level format cannot
happen without a MSDOS1 partition.
I have noticed lots of problems with this across the web with Disk ops
software.
Please refer to bug 741117
