that version to 2.8.4. You want to report that bug to Ubuntu, as it works on
Debian (you can prepare a minimal Debian stable/testing/unstable chroot on
your Ubuntu, and try it out inside, see debootstrap or pbuilder/cowbuilder or
schroot)
