Bug#603107: cdrom: grub does not add other OS to list
Package: cdrom
Severity: important
Tags: d-i
-- System Information:
Debian Release: squeeze/sid
APT prefers testing
APT policy: (500, 'testing')
Architecture: amd64 (x86_64)
Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
i installed debian 6.0 beta1 kde amd64, and grub found during installation my 4 other OS
however, grub wrote a grub.cfg in the partition on which i installed deb6, which only contained 2 lines of the deb6 booter
when i ran update-grub, it found again all my 4 other OS, but now it actually wrote them into grub.cfg, and everything was fine: i could boot any OS
so, the d-i should do what update-grub does, since it works like a charm.
