You can easily debug this yourself. Some hints: - check the installer's /var/log/syslog to get an indication of what goes wrong. There are quite a few messages about the kernel selection process. - 'chroot /target' and run aptitude to see if your kernels are actually available - try running the installer in expert mode and see what you are offered. - try running base-installation with set -x in /var/lib/dpkg/info/base-installer.postinst Cheers, FJP
