I personally agree with you Frans. I don't see a need to have a 64bit
kernel available on installation time when we have the amd64 CD
available. If the user want to use the 32bit system with a 64bit
kernel he/she can install it later. There are too few people in this
specific scenario that doesn't justify the space used.

Maybe we can do that just for net installs. But here I see
complications about documentation and possible confusion so I think is
better to just don't do that.
