Das funktioniert NUR auf Intel Itanium Rechnern, wie die Mitteilung 
auch deutlich macht:

"This is the place for the IA64 architecture, as used by the Intel 
Itanium CPUs. For X86_64/AMD64/EM64T machines, please see the 
unofficial amd64 sarge release"

Wenn du einen AMD64 oder einen Intel mit EMT64 Erweiterung hast, ist das
Image das richtige:
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/sarge-amd64/

He basically complained that the IA64 image is not bootable on his 
system.

Honestly we should really consider changing the name since a lot of 
people are still confusing the Itanium images with AMD64/EMT64.

Would make sense to call it Debian Itanium instead of IA64.
