Bug#285888: Res: Bug#285888:

Maybe it is. But can be a problem with the cd. Is a new cd ? Did you buy it
? Or you made it yourself ?

The BIOS is configured right.
I can boot from the CDROM. At the boot promt I choose linux26.
The installer starts.
I can select the language, then the hardware check beginns.
After this step the error massage "can not read from CDROm" appiers.

It seams to be a problem with the hardware auto detection.
I can install woody without problems.
