Yep, it is. :-) However, direct further questions to
debian-user@lists.debian.org - this list (debian-cd) is more concerned with
the creation of CD images.
Maybe also check whether there's a Linux User Group (LUG) in your area.

I think at the point you refer to you can actually *choose* a password, not
supply a correct one.
