What you probably want is to check the md5sum for the iso image. Get
the file from
http://cdimage.debian.org/cd-images/2.2_rev2/i386/

Then run the command
md5sum binary-image-whateveryouhave.iso
and compare with the md5sum above. If it coincides, you have the
correct image. If not, you are in trouble.
