Re: potato i386 CD's made with debian-cd **bad file???



Try reading it with the dd command. This will tell you if it got whacked
during the record. The best device for me seems to be the CDR drive. I
have a pile of CDROM drives that are marginal. Generally, a truly bad CDR
won't pass a full readback on my HP recorders. You need isosize to get the
count argument for dd or it will likely give you an error at the end.

Have you tried loop mounting the image file? This will quickly tell you if
you have a valid iso9660 image from debian-cd (actually mkhybrid). Mount
it and check all md5sums.
