potato i386 CD's made with debian-cd **bad file???

Humm,

I was just going over a i386 potato CD that was made with
the current CVS copy of debian-cd.

When I put the CD in a host, and then try to read some of
the text files on the top level directory, they read just fine.

BUT

When I try to display (either under Linux, or W9x) any of the
text files under /doc or /install/boot.bat or the README
files under /tools I get a READ IO error.

Humm, the files look ok. They seem to report a reasonable
file size. Curiously enough the loadlin.exe rawrite2.exe
fips.exe will not execute under w9x either.

Could be just me. Might not. Does anyone else get these
strange errors on a currently burned i386 potato CD ?
