Bug#750364: kfreebsd-9: not planned for release with jessie

Package: src:kfreebsd-9
Version: 9.2-2
Severity: serious
Tags: jessie sid

Hi,

kfreebsd-9 9.2 is not planned for release with jessie.

Only one version of the FreeBSD kernel is expected to ship with
jessie, due to the resource contraints of supporting it for the
release's entire lifecycle. Also freebsd-libs can only be fully
compatible with one kernel interface, otherwise causing bugs in
userland tools such as #740509.

Wheezy users will continue to receive security updates to kfreebsd-9
9.0 for as long as practical.

Users of jessie/sid should consider migrating to kfreebsd-10 as soon as
possible, as it has security fixes not available in the kfreebsd-9 9.2
package.

Thanks.
