Instead, again, please take 2 seconds to try to look things up!
If you bothered to look at (atleast the top item on):
http://bugs.debian.org/gnome-terminal
You'd find that the default configuration is unusable under non-GNOME
(and thus now for all hurd and kfreebsd users).
