Bug#692080: kfreebsd-amd64 fails on LSI Logic SAS1068E Fusion-MPT SAS controller

Package: kfreebsd-9
Severity: important
Tags: d-i

This issue is similar to #691754, and also affects LSI devices. In my
case it is a LSI Logic SAS1068E Fusion-MPT SAS controller (aka: "Dell
SAS 6/iR Integrated Blades RAID Controller") installed into a DELL R310.
It uses the mps kernel driver.

It yields kfreebsd on Wheezy uninstallable, the installation freezes
while starting up the the partitioner during the disk scan.

The syslog is not really helpful, but this is relevant log output:

mps0: mpssas_abort_complete: abort request on handle 0x13 SMID 687 complete
mps0: (0:10:0) terminated ioc 804b scsi 0 state c xfer 0
(da9:mps0:0:10:0): READ(10). CDB: 28 0 0 63 37 ce 0 0 16 0
CAM status: SCSI Status Error
SCSI status: Check Condition
SCSI sense: UNIT ATTENTION asc:29,0 (Power on, reset, or bus device
reset occurred)

The full log is in the screenshot. Note, Debian kfreebsd installs just
fine (minus non-free NIC driver of course). Just as does Wheezy's d-i.

I tried the beta 3 d-i, as well as the latest daily image.
