Bug#642711: torify doesn't properly work for web browsers?
Package: tor
Version: 0.2.2.33-1
Severity: important
Hi!
torify midori as well as torify conkeror (gecko+xul browser) don't
work:
For visiting any website I get the default "Tor is not an HTTP Proxy"
page and the folloing warning in tor log
Sep 24 19:36:02.535 [warn] Socks version 71 not recognized. (Tor is not an http proxy.)
This is running torify on browsers with no proxy configured (and
working fine outside torify)
Regards
Christoph
