Package: choose-mirror
Version: 2.70
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I was using in the past the build enviromnet for building debian-installer
images for netboot. Recently a tried again to build netboot.tar.gz and it
suddently stoped workin as expected. The installation stoped every time with
segfault of choose-mirror. Source udebs are from sid. I did this by the
manual page for building debian-installer. This happend without any change
if i used the preseed file or not.

Thank You
Hope this will help to resolve this bug.

I've tracked this down and documented the results in #834383, which I've
just uploaded a fix for. I'm closing this bug report accordingly.

This might be due to #740068 (newer glibc version in testing now). I've
pinged a glibc maintainer on IRC to see whether that's indeed still
expected with the current state of affairs, so as to decide whether to
release a new alpha soonish. No need for you to file a bug for this, but
thanks for mentioning it.
