I just intalled Debian Wheezy (had installed squeee before), I have a French
Canadian keyboard. I specified this in the installation screens. In Xorg the
deadkeys do not work, for example if i want a circumflex accent on the o i type
^ and the o. This works fine in squeeze but shows like ^o in wheezy.

Do you still observe this bug? For some reasons this bug became
reassigned to console-setup but from the contents of the file
/etc/default/keyboard we can conclude that it does not really belong to
console-setup. Unfortunately, I have no idea what package it belongs
to. It makes no sense to keep this bug open in console-setup as
obviously none of the maintainers of console-setup can do anything about
it. Therefore, I am closing it now. If you still observe the
misbehaviour of the deadkeys, please report the bug again. I suppose
one of the packages xkb-data or xorg-xserver will be a suitable targed
as (hopefully) its maintainer will know better what to do about it.
