Issue: Jessie Installer hangs after processing DHCPv6 stateful addressing

Description:

The installer hangs after network detection. My network provides both IPv4 and IPv6 services. IPv6 prefix is announced with radvd which also indicates that IP addresses are managed by stateful DHCPv6 (provided by dnsmasq). The network interface of the VM is bridged to my production network. The host (a Debian Wheezy system) is also hosting radvd and dnsmasq. I have tested multiple KVM NIC drivers (virtio, e1000, rtl8139), out of which only rtl8139 is able to get IPv6 address from the DHCPv6 server, but the installer is stuck on the screen following network setup. Only blue screen is visible (no menu/text is shown).

I can get around the issue by either suspending the IPv6 service (stop radvd daemon), or by hitting cancel on the IPv6 autoconfiguration dialog. Both of which will result in an installation that is only configured to use DHCPv4. After I manually edit /etc/network/interfaces to add dhcpv6 configuration, I can connect to IPv6 hosts.

When the installer hangs I can switch to another tty and see that the interfaces were configured and I can reach both IPv4 and IPv6 network hosts. I am providing the evidence of connectivity and syslog:

Description:
netcfg - Configure the network (udeb)
 netcfg-static - Configure a static network (udeb)
Closes: 768188
Changes:
 netcfg (1.131) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Kill the DHCP client on Linux again and keep it running on kFreeBSD.
This unbreaks network configuration on Linux when a DHCPv6 server is
present on the network segment. However it also means that the
DHCPv4 lease is no longer being refreshed (not a regression over
     stable). (Closes: #768188)
