Comments/Problems:

Installer freezes at 50% during "Analyze disks" step. Last messages showing on screen when hitting Ctrl-Alt-F4 are:

partman: no matching physical volumes found
partman: reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
partman: no volume groups found
partman-lvm: No volume groups found

I have tried to remove and switch back breifly the USB drive when the installer freezes, as suggested by similar bug reports, without any success.
The same bug happens when trying to install http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/6.0.7/amd64/iso-cd/debian-6.0.7-amd64-CD-1.iso
