Bug#619640: debian-installer: "Architecture not supported" when trying to install wheezy using daily businescard
Package: debian-installer
Severity: important
Tags: sid
Hi,
i was using debian-testing-amd64-businesscard.iso
'Debian GNU/Linux testing "Wheezy" - Official Snapshot amd64 BC Binary-1
20110325-10:40'
to install wheezy using one of the mirrors.
After choosing distribution (from squeezy, wheezy, sid),
a error dialog appears in read:
"[!!] Choose a mirror of the Debian archive
Architecture not supported
The specified Debian archive mirror does not seem to support your architecture.
Please try a different mirror.
Go Back. Continue.
"
On Console (Alt-F4), i see at the end:
....
.... DEBUG: command: wget -q http://cdn.debian.net/debian//dists/wheezy/main
/binary-amd64/Release -O -o | grep ^Architecture:
..... DEBUG: architecture not supported by selected mirror
File Release in binary-amd64 indeed do not have Architecture field,
as opossed to squeezy/main/binary-amd64/Release !
It can be a problem in debian-installer,
or in ftp mirrors, but i checked few mirrors and in all of them
Release files are the same.
Thanks.
